DIRTY: the whole apartment was old and generally very dirty, marks all over the walls and old bottles etc next to the terrace. We complained about this many times in the night and the hotel refused to move us to a new room, although the hotel staff agreed that is would be impossible to sleep in this room and said come back in the morning. Our floor and bed were literally vibrating all night until the music stopped at 4am. NO SLEEP BEFORE 4AM: the floor of our bedroom was the roof of the dance floor of one of the clubs on the bar street.
Here are some of many reasons that you should not stay at this hotel: 1.
The room we stayed in was certainly not the same as those on the pictures.
We booked the Flora Maria 'boutique' hotel based on the pictures of the rooms, despite booking the 'boutique hotel' we were taken to an annex 5 minutes away from the hotel. The only thing you have to pray for is that you're in the main building as its nicer but all round me and my mates had an exceptionally good week. If you're booking this hotel as an alcohol fueled, inbetweeners inspired holiday then its ideal, pretty much on the strip, kebab shop round the corner, a small but sufficient swimming pool and bar located on site and to our pleasant surprise no dead dog in the pool. Taffy's Bar and Craigs bar are located 2 mins away and are ideal places for pres with deals like 5 euro for a shot, drink and a balloon. Our view from our balcony reached the extent of the hotels neighbours and their inflatable swimming pool into which went my mates air force with thanks to another drunk friend (if you see the neighbour stepping in white AF1's then just know he didn't buy them). Locations is perfect, views eh not so much. Okay yeah fair enough our room was a state, littered in KFC hot wing bones (12 euro for a bargain bucket full of hotwings cmon) and rubbish but even still a sweep up would've been nice. My only real complain about my stay would be the cleaners, whom are most amply described as lazier than Anne Hegarty on Im A Celeb. The rooms were basic, but modern and clean (at least on arrival). This was the case for only one night as they were able to move us to 3 rooms all on the same floor. Between the 6 of us on holiday we booked 3 rooms two of which were very nice and in the main building, however the other one was a 2 minute walk away in another building which was an inconvenience to say the least. However on arrival, the hotel exceeded our expectation (fair enough we didn't expect much but it was nice still). As many probably were, before arriving we were feeling skeptical about the condition/cleanliness of the hotel.
